alphaCentauri Solar Racing
αCentauri Solar Racing is a student-led project founded by engineering students of ETH Zurich. We share the passion and vision to design and construct a highly efficient racing-vehicle solely powered by the sun. We are a strong team dedicated to technology and innovation. Our goal is the construction of a solar racing car as set out in the Challenger Class regulations of the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge 2023. And then win the race of course!...

CRATER
Project CRATER is a hands-on student project building modular systems for Mars-like exploration, navigation, and scientific discovery. We're solving tasks such as autonomous controls, robotic arm manipulation, scientific planning, resource extraction and autonomous droning. The European Rover Challenge is one of the world's leading space robotics competitions, supported by ESA and NASA experts. We're using the Competition to establish a baseline for future student exploration robotics at ETH. Originally, we focused on in-situ resource utilization technologies, but we quickly realized we need a mobile transport platform to make any of it usable in the field. With our strong background in robotics and experience in international teams, we saw this competition as the perfect launchpad to build ETH’s first student robotic rover! ...
Hier Summts
Insects play a central role in our ecosystems. They are important for pollinating various plants and form a substantial part of the food chain. Unfortunately, the diversity and quantity of insects has declined sharply in recent years and decades. Where they used to hum loudly, they are now silent. There are many reasons for this, ranging from intensification of agriculture to changes in land use patterns to the increasing threat of climate change. It is imperative to protect insects and their diversity. For this reason, Hier Summts is committed to raising awareness about the diversity of insects, their benefits and insect mortality throughout Switzerland by educating members and the general public about the importance of insects to local ecosystems. General knowledge about insect conservation is to be conveyed in as many ways as possible, such as through school visits, excursions and lectures. So far, we have been able to offer various events on entomology and biodynamic viticulture which are open to both members and non-members. Join our events and/or association to learn and discover much more about insects! ...
MEWELL
MeWell is a young student and staff organization with the focus on providing both professional and community-focused activities around raising awareness of mental wellbeing and fighting metal health stigma at the universities in Zurich. For this purpose, MeWell offers a range of engaging activities focused on fighting mental health stigma in academia. Our events cover two main areas: 1. Mental health awareness Our mental health awareness program consists of educational activities which inform and teach our community about various aspects of mental health such as: promoting mental wellbeing, recognizing the signs and symptoms of poor mental health, and talks covering current research. Each month, we tackle a different topic together with an expert in the field. 2. Community outreach social events Our community outreach events offer an opportunity for our community to directly interact with each other and our team. This serves three main purposes: As a direct program to engage our community in a safe space and improve mental health through fun community activities. To potentially help redirect people to professional support organizations in case of poor mental health. As a recruitment and team development program....
SEET

Sustainable Business Club
Our aim is to raise awareness of sustainability in business and offer students a platform to get involved in sustainable business practices. We encourage members to shape their academic and professional careers in a sustainable way. The idea for the Sustainable Business Club was born at the University of Zurich. We noticed a lack of emphasis on sustainability in business lectures and academic curriculum. Existing student clubs and initiatives were not specifically focused on sustainability in a business context. We perceived this as a gap in the academic and student landscape that needed to be urgently filled. What we do: • Events and activities to promote insights into sustainable business practices• Interdisciplinary exchange by involving students from different faculties• Co-operation with companies committed to sustainability• Promote career opportunities in the field of sustainable business...

The Student Biolab
The Student Biolab is a platform and a community for students to design, prototype, and implement their life science research and product ideas. We are a group of motivated students, sharing biology and biotechnology as common passion. Our team is extremely interdisciplinary: we are biologists, engineers, computer scientists. We were born last February but we have already achieved an important milestone: having our own wet lab. Here we run experimental workshops, build startup prototypes and, in general, meet with passionate people to share thoughts and ideas. Our lab is a place where to work on your own project; we are equipped with modern biology instrumentation that can be freely used. But that’s not all. We are building a strong network with corporate Industry partners, to transform the lab in a space where we can answer to the need and demands of the market. We are progressively growing, and we are open to welcome new passionate people. Are you ready to join us?...
thebookclub ETH
✨ Good day, dear reader! Welcome to the first book club at ETH! You might be thinking, ‘Book club... what could that be?’ Well, we’re not your typical book club. Our goal is to create a community and a platform where students can meet fellow readers. No qualifications are needed to consider yourself a reader!
