We help ETH students to actively experience or design something in the digital area. We provide a space, tools and support to grow your own digital project.

GETTING STARTED IS EASY

Get support

Student volunteers with programming experience will help you with your project (As long as it has nothing to do with your classes)!

Workshops

We offer a wide variety of workshop to introduce you to digital tools and frameworks. During our hands-on workshops you will make something without needing any prior knowledge of the topic. We adapt to all levels. Check out the events below so you don’t miss out!

1. App Creation

  • Create a mobile app to allow customers to place orders and make reservations.
  • Start your fitness tracking app and keep track of your workout.
  • Build a scheduling app to let users organise & plan their events.

2. Website development

  • Create an online store to sell your products & services.
  • Develop a portfolio website to showcase your work.
  • Set up a blog where users can engage with your content.

3. IoT device connectivity

  • Automate your smart home system to control lights, temperature and security.
  • Set up an irrigation system and manage watering of your plants.
  • Use an Arduino or Raspberry Pi to build anything...

Please note that for some items there are specific requirements you need to fulfil (e.g. a registered SPH project) or other documents you need to sign (e.g. an agreement or NDA). In any case, please contact us if you have a question.
Microsoft Hololens

Augmented Reality device. Example project: Rimon

Requirements:

  • Registered project at SPH.
  • You need to fill out the agreement at the Welcome Desk
Meta Glasses (Project Aria)

No AR, but it let's you capture live video from the user's perspective. This can be used for context aware applications.

Note: This is a collaboration with ETH AI Center

Requirements:

  • Please contact us, since we lend these devices on a one-by-one basis (you will also need to sign a Meta agreement eventually)
