Maximizing the safe life of bridges and buildings based on data
Irmos'software translates vibrations of buildings and bridges due to wind or traffic into structural health metrics for a safer and more sustainable infrastructure.
Based on a limited number of low-cost sensors that they developed, the software tracks key damage indicators and supports the decision making for optimial maintenance planning.
Their solution attracted key infrastructure owners and top engineeing offices, counting already multiple pilot projects, including an 8-year monitoring contract with the Swiss federal office for the road network (ASTRA).
The founders count 4 PhD and 6 MSc degrees in civil engineering, structural health monitoring, data science and robotics and the team is growing from 4 to 8 until the end of 2023.
