Make Ideas Happen

You want to move straight to action and discover creative solutions to challenges we are facing. Join one of our programs, start your own projects with our experts or get involved in an existing project. We offer mentoring, a co-working space, a makerspace and funding. We can’t wait to hear from you.

Join One of Our Programs

Our programs have a duration of 6-10 weeks and run on a yearly basis. You can participate in our programs no matter what you study at ETH. We welcome students from bachelor, master and doctoral study levels. All programs are extracurricular and typically take place in the late afternoon or in the semester break.

The Hatchery

During the ETH Week, you will go through a process that starts with finding a relevant problem and ends with a mock-up prototype of your solution. We don’t want you to stop there! Over the course of 10 weeks, we will support you in developing your idea into a functional prototype that you can test and implement with potential partners. Bring your solution to life, be it as a start-up, a research project or even your future doctoral thesis.

Unbox your Idea

Propose an idea or join another team. Experience the first phases of a product development process. We will guide you through the fuzzy front end of a product development process. During input workshops and in hands-on sessions with coaches you will learn to apply state-of-the-art methods in idea development and prototyping.

Get Involved in an Existing Project

We offer a great space for your team to meet and work. Our mentors will support you in project management and product development. In our makerspace, you can produce your first prototypes and learn how to use 3D printers, lasercutters and more. Check out some of our team and community projects below.
